Byzantine Posters

Byzantine art is early Christian art developed in the Eastern Roman Empire after the fall of Rome. Constantine I allowed Christians to worship publicly in 313 and, as the Eastern Roman Empire grew in importance, this art form flourished. Some notable surviving examples are mosaics in ancient monasteries and Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. Our Byzantine posters represent the best of the mosaics, paintings and architecture still existing.
